Two suspects were detained for questioning under warning of prosecution Tuesday morning and nine other suspects were detained on suspicion of involvement in safety offenses under the Safety and Regulations Ordinance, careless use of machines, fraudulent receipt of items and other offenses.

The arrests followd a covert operation by the the Unit for Investigation of Work Accidents - a joint unit of the Israel Police and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as part of the increasing attention and focus of the Israel Police's efforts to expose offenses in the construction industry, in light of evidence that raised suspicions of additional offenses.
