Yisrael Beytenu Party Chairman Avigdor Liberman says he left the government after he thought it was not taking the right security steps.
Interviewed by FM 103, Liberman said, "I resigned from the government and from the cabinet because I tried to change the policy from within as defense minister. There were two decisions that were too much for me - a cease-fire after 500 rockets in a day and the transfer of Qatari money. I was not stuck to the [ministerial post, literally] chair and did not put forth any ultimatum. I got up and left."
