Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan responded to the incident near the community of Adei Ad, saying "the defense establishment must operate in the village of Al-Mu'ayyir to catch the terrorists who organized yesterday's lynch attempt.
"This situation isn't much different from the one that faced children on a bar mitzvah hike near Migdalim just a year ago. They defended themselves and prevented a severe disaster when one of the accompanying parents fired into the air, and stopped the Palestinian rioters from lynching children. I expect the defense establishment to enlist in the clearest way possible to capture the terrorists and carry out operations inside the terrorists' nests, so the motivation to carry out terror attacks will be reduced and security of the residents preserved."
