Chairman Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid Party has attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on the background of Netanyahu's exposing the operation in Syria, saying, "The removal of the veil of ambiguity, and the prime minister's admission that we are responsible for the attack in Syria, is national irresponsibility."
Reacting to a social-media post in which Netanyahu said he "renovated" the Damascus Airport, Lapid continued, "Israel's security policy vis-à-vis Syria cannot become a subject that the prime minister laughs at on the networks and exploits it for the elections. This is [a matter of] the security of the citizens of Israel. There is a limit to cynicism."
