The newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that Hamas had told Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, through intermediaries, that they intended to escalate the situation if they did not receive the Qatari money soon.
As noted, Israel froze the third round of Qatari money following the escalation in the south a few weeks ago.
