Yehuda Baidega, 24, from Bat Yam, was the youth shot yesterday after he threatened policemen with a knife.
According to police, the team was summoned to the intersection of Herzl and Jabotinsky streets in the city because of reports that Biadega, who apparently had suffered war trauma in the past, was acting in a crazed fashion in his home and on the street.
He was shot after he refused the policemen's request to stop and ran toward them with a large kitchen knife.
