Public Safety Minister Gilad Erdan sent an official request to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu this week, that Israel not renew agreements with the countries that make up the Temporary International Presence in Hevron, "which will force it to leave the country and stop interfering with the security forces."
The agreements expire on Saturday. Summarizing a report from the Samaria-Judea Police, Erdan wrote, "It is not surprising that a force composed of policemen from a hostile Islamic state such as Turkey and pro-Palestinian countries sponsoring boycotts such as Sweden and Norway interferes with IDF soldiers and police, creates friction with the settlers, cooperates with extremist organizations and promotes delegitimization of Israel."
