Member of Knesset Leah Fadida (Labor) asked Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit and chairman of the election committee, Supreme Court Justice Hanan Melcer, this morning, to conduct a quick examination to see if Israel's mediation in the transfer of $15 million in cash from Qatar to the Hamas leadership in Gaza constitutes election bribery.
According to Fadida, "The continued transfer of money from Qatar through Israel to Hamas in Gaza during the election period in order to 'buy' an imaginary security quiet in the south of the country serves Binyamin Netanyahu the candidate and the Likud party."
