Former Defense Minister Amir Peretz responded to the report that the minors arrested by the Shin Bet were suspected of murdering an Arab woman with nine children.

"Jewish terror is no less dangerous than Palestinian terror, and there's no room for compromise in dealing with the Youth of Horrors ["Noar Z'vaot", a play on the Hebrew "Noar Gvaot", "Hilltop Youth"]: not on suspicion of murdering a Palestinian woman and not for attacking Border Policemen.

"When senior rabbis on the Right choose to stand behind Jewish terrorists suspected of murdering a mother of nine children, this is a moral bankruptcy of the whole right-wing camp even if there is a New Right.

"As long as the leaders of the right-wing parties don't shake off rabbis who try to help these youths, they're preparing the next atrocity," he said, adding that "these respected rabbis are losing the moral right to lead the faithful and certainly the State."
