Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan met with Major General Roni Numa in order to move forward with his appointment to the Chief Superintendent.
In the news here, it was reported that the obstacle to the appointment was a fear that the High Court of Justice would disqualify him because of the ban on appointing senior officials during an election.
The report said that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has already given approval in principle to continue the unusual procedure because it has already begun, but as the election date approaches, there is a fear that the high court will disqualify the appointment.
