Legal sources: Netanyahu need not resign after a hearing

Senior legal officials in the law enforcement system have made it clear that legally Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu does not have to resign after notification of a pre-indictment hearing, according to Channel 10 Television.

Between the notice of a hearing and a final decision on an indictment, there is a gap of about a year, and there is no legal reason that Netanyahu should not continue to serve as prime minister if he is elected in the next elections.
