Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brigadier Genera Eran Niv sharpened the rules of engagement on Friday, a day after IDF soldiers killed an East Jerusalem resident when he burst through a checkpoint next to Ramallah.
According to Niv, IDF soldiers are entitled to fire at a vehicle only in the case of life-threatening danger.
