About 1,000 prisoners are expected to be released today from prisons throughout the country as part of an administrative release following a Supreme Court decision that expanded the living space of each prisoner due to overcrowding.
The prisoners to be released are prisoners sentenced to up to four years in prison with relatively short time left to serve.
