Police detained three foreign nationals from Moldova on suspicion of hitting an elderly man of 70 at the Tzabar junction and leaving the scene of the accident.
The elderly man was hit by a cyclist when he crossed the road and was evacuated to the hospital in serious condition.
According to the suspicion, the offending cyclist stayed with his friends at the scene of the accident shortly after the injury to the elderly, but they left the scene before the arrival of the police car and traffic controllers.
