Rona Ramon, the widow of astronaut Ilan Ramon, who died at the age of 54 after a long struggle with cancer, asked in her will that her body be burned and not to perform a burial ceremony for her.
Ramon explained that she wanted to prevent her three children from the difficulty of having another funeral, after they lost their father and their pilot brother Asaf. Ramon is also survived by her parents. Her coffin will be placed Wednesday at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation in Jaffa, and the public will be able to pay its last respects between 9:00 and 13: 00. The funeral will take place at 16:00 with the participation of family and friends.
