The Labor, Welfare and Health Committee of the Knesset has cleared a bill requiring the installation of cameras in geriatric and geriatric departments in hospitals, in order to prevent abuse and abuse by the elderly, for its second and third readings in the Knesset.
In addition to prevention and detection of harm to patients, the bill seeks to ensure that the harm to the dignity and privacy of patients and all those in the wards will be proportionate and that the sensitive information on the videos will be properly secured.
