Ethiopian Jews, numbering tens of thousands of tradition-observing people in Israel, will be able to learn, for the first time since the Torah was received, in the well-known halachic books Yalkut Yosef, which include dozens of books on the Shulchan Aruch.

This is the only book of Halacha that has been translated into Amharic. Under the direction of Rabbi Reuven Wabashat, the Chief Rabbi of Israel's Ethiopian community, the first part of Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim was translated.
