The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of Ezra Sheinberg, who was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in a plea bargain for attacking 8 women.
Handing down the decision, the judges wrote, "His distorted actions are very close to the hard core of the offense of rape. He took advantage of his position as rabbi and head of a community and caused the victims to think it was treatment." They further noted that without the plea bargain, Sheinberg should have been sentenced to a more severe prison sentence.
