The "Commanders for Israel's Security" movement, comprising hundreds of senior retired members of the Israel Defense Forces, the Mossad intelligence agency, the Shabak Israel Security Agency and the police, has launched a public campaign telling the prime minister: "Bibi, for the sake of Israel's security, is the time to divorce the Palestinians."

According to the movement, dealing with the threat of tunneling from the north is vital and the IDF knows how to do the job, but the next morning we will again face the only existential threat today in the Palestinian context. The movement revealed for the first time the findings of a comprehensive study, which led to the conclusion, "The government must formulate a responsible policy to block the process of annexation and to lead a civil separation initiative before we find ourselves undermining the Jewish majority and endangering the security of Israeli citizens."
