Minister Yuval Steinitz, who serves in the diplomatic-security cabinet, said on Thursday that the defense establishment had made an accurate choice in the timing of Operation Northern Shield.
Interviewed by haredi-religious radio station Kol Berama, Steinitz said, "If we waited a few more months, the tunnels would reach the communities themselves."
