The Lebanese army said, Tuesday, "All our units carry out their missions along the border in cooperation with UN forces, in order to prevent escalation or destabilization of the area," according to Channel 10 Television. A military statement added, "The situation on the border is quiet and stable."
It was responding to Israeli charges that Lebanon was responsible for the Hezbollah terror tunnels that Israel was beginning to detect and destroy under Operation Northern Shield.
