Tuesday's announcement of Operation Northern Shield to destroy Hezbollah terror tunnels along the Lebanese border has confirmed the warnings of retired brigadier general Yossi Langotsky who warned Arutz Sheva of such tunnels, based on models Hezbollah learned from their supporters in North Korea.
Langotsky was considered the leading expert in dealing with the terrorists and served as a volunteer advisor to the Israel Defense Forces chief of staff when the focus was on Hamas tunnels originating in Gaza. He told Arutz Sheva that what was happening in the north needed the same level of concern. He noted that the ground in the north was harder than in the Gaza area, but not as hard as the ground in North Korea, where the regime also dug tunnels to infiltrate its southern border.
