About two hundred staff members of the Assaf Harofeh-Yitzhak Shamir Medical Center participated, Tuesday morning, in a rally in support of the elimination of violence against women.
Dr. Osnat Levtzion Korach, director of the medical center, said, "We must wake up as a society, be alert to what is happening around us, not to take for granted injuries inflicted on our friends. As the staff of the medical center, a red light must be lit every time the findings of the emergency-room examinations are not compatible with the patient's story. This is not a protest of women against violence, but a social protest that crosses borders and sectors, both men and women."
