MK Oren Hazan (Likud) responded to the decision of the Advisory Committee for the Appointment of Senior Officials not to recommend Moshe (Chico) Edri to the post of Police Commissioner.
"The decision to disqualify Edri, over nothing, is a sabotage and a disgrace to democracy and the state! The minister decided, the Attorney General confirmed, there is no criminal impediment, yet again they harm a worthy person and trample the government. This is proof of why the new practice and the hallucinatory committee for appointing senior officials should be abolished. Only the elected officials have the authority - the people have spoken!" Hazan tweeted.
