MK Yifat Shasha-Biton (Kulanu), chair of the Knesset Special Committee for the Rights of the Child, discussed on Thursday the law allowing the placing of security cameras in daycare centers, which she initiated and was approved this week.

She told Arutz Sheva she hopes that in the future the law will be extended to other populations in need of protection, "I wanted it to include all the homeless, the elderly and the residents, the kindergartens for ages three and six, but it's quite complex. We cannot expand the law to kindergartens for children between the ages of three and six, because of the opposition of the teachers' union. I hope they will understand that there is a need for cameras in these kindergartens too."
