The Movement for Quality Government has sent an urgent letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit against the just-announced rotation in the cabinet between Ministers Yuval Steinitz and Ze'ev Elkin.
The letter says, "It is unthinkable that a seat in the diplomatic-security cabinet will serve as a bargaining chip or as a prize for one minister or another. It's a role whose importance cannot be contested, and should be treated with all seriousness and respect." It notes, "The citizens of Israel are stunned by this decision, and it seems that all the red lines were crossed, all in order to serve a narrow political interest."
