6.3 earthquake in Iran near border with Iraq

An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit western Iran, near its border with Iraq, Sunday evening.

The tremor was felt in Iran and Iraq and as far away as Kuwait, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
