Israel's Judicial Selection Committee is set to convene on Friday.
Among the candidates being vetted are Attorneys Chava Mertzky, who heads the Israel Bar Association and is competing for a seat in the Magistrate's Court, and Rachel Toren, who is competing for appointment to a district court. The committee will meet without the head of the Israel Bar Association Effi Naveh.
