Hamas and Islamic Jihad have received an invitation from Egypt to return to Cairo to discuss the calm with Israel and reconciliation with the Fatah faction of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, according to Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, which cited a source in the factions.
The source said that "there are new developments regarding the captives as part of the second stage of the understandings reached."
