Due to the security situation in the south, the Student Union has decided not to hold the demonstrations it had planned in Jerusalem outside the Finance Ministry and the Council for Higher Education.
The protests are over the delay of the start of the academic year due to sanctions by senior faculty. A statement by the students said, "As for the struggle of the senior staff at the public colleges, we continue to do everything possible in other ways to bring the parties to a dialogue and hope that they will show maturity and strive to solve the crisis as soon as possible."
