Minister Yuval Steinitz explained, Tuesday, his opposition to the death penalty for murderous terrorists, saying "I do not intend to support the imposition of the death penalty until there is an in-depth discussion and a decision in the government and the cabinet."
Writing on Twitter, Steinitz added, "In the opinion of the IDF, the Shabak Israel Security Agency and all the security forces not only will it not help the fight against terrorism, but it will cause great damage." He concluded, "Such a move would be a great reward for the terrorist organizations and the other enemies of Israel."
