A 60-year-old bicyclist was hit by a truck Monday afternoon on Route 483 near the entrance to Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha, east of Petach Tikva.
A Magen David Adom emergency team tried to save his life but was eventually forced to pronounce his death at the scene.
