Israel Air Force helicopters, along with fighters from Unit 669, returned on Thursday night to Israel from the aid mission in Jordan.
The forces assisted the Jordanians in their attempt to locate survivors in the Jordanian children's bus that was swept away by flood waters, despite the harsh weather conditions and the difficult terrain. When the chances of locating survivors became impossible due to the difficult conditions, and in light of the Jordanian request to stop the search, the forces returned to Israel.
