State Comptroller Yosef Shapira has released his annual report, which contains serious findings on a range of issues, including the management of Israel's water sector.

According to the comptroller, the Water Authority took a short-term view, which emptied natural reservoirs whenever they were filled, without acting for their long-term preservation instead of preventing water shortages, even given the succession of dry years that have plagued the country in the last four years. He also criticized management of the electricity sector, the development of armored military vehicles and armored combat vehicles and relocation of the Israel Defense Forces' rehabilitation and maintenance center away from the center of the country.
