Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed regret over the death of Matityahu (Mati) Drobless, a former Knesset member and chairman of the Jewish Agency's Settlement Department, who worked hard to develop the settlement enterprise in Judea and Samaria.
"I am deeply saddened by the passing of former MK Matityahu (Mati) Drobless, who was a 'Betari' in his soul, a Holocaust survivor who established settlements in the Land of Israel and contributed greatly to the settlement of our land."
