A vehicle believed to have been stolen approached the Mazmuriya crossing on Sunday night as it was making its way to Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria. In an attempt to escape an inspection by Israeli Border Police officers at the crossing, the driver of the vehicle bumped into other vehicles that made their way to the crossing.
A female driver was lightly injured in the incident and was evacuated to hospital for medical treatment. As the vehicle fled the scene, it endangered the fighters in the area, one of the whom fired at the vehicle. Border Police officers and IDF forces are conducting extensive searches in the area to locate the vehicle and the suspect.
