Member of Knesset Bezalel Somotrich (Jewish Home) has criticized remarks by the grandchildren of assassinated Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin at the official state observance marking the anniversary of the murder.
Smotrich said, "Year after year, the Rabin family is unable to honor the state framework of the memorial ceremonies and turns them into a platform for political activity against the right and its leaders. One of two things: either their speeches should be taken out of the protocol or the ceremonies should be private ones for the Rabin family and not state ceremonies. There is a limit to chutzpah."
