The Ministry of Environmental Protection has announced it will support local authorities in the amount of NIS 30 million to carry out environmental actions to reduce and prevent damage to leishmania in their fields.
The disease, spread by sandflies, has been known through history as "white leprosy" and "black fever" among other names.
