Chairman Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid Party made it clear, Monday evening, that he favors separation from the Palestinian Authority, under clear conditions that assure Israel's security.
Speaking at a gathering in Tel Aviv to launch the Institute for National Security Studies' diplomatic plan, Lapid said, "I do not believe in the Palestinians, and therefore Israel's military freedom of movement in all areas of the future Palestinian state will be full. The one who will be responsible for the safety of the citizens of Israel will be the IDF and only the IDF, not foreign forces, certainly not the Palestinians."
