The New York State Police confirmed, Sunday, that 20 people were killed on Saturday afternoon in an accident at the intersection of State Highways 30 and 30A in the central town of in the town of Schoharie.
Portions of the two roads were blocked to traffic until the pre-dawn hours of Sunday morning. The police said the investigation into the cause of the accident was still in its preliminary stages and a news briefing has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon to discuss the probe.
