Police National Unit for the Prevention of Economic Crime, Lahav 433 unit carried out an undercover investigation that became public this morning.
5 suspects were detained for questioning & 2 other suspects were detained on suspicion of involvement in bribery, fraud & breach of trust, as well as other offenses. Among those detained is a senior government employee. The investigation is conducted by the Israel Police & coordinated with the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office that deals with suspicions of public corruption.
