Minister of Education Naftali Bennett has responded to the demonstration of teachers protesting against their salary conditions in front of the national government complex in Tel Aviv.
Bennett said, "As I mentioned at the beginning of the year in a number of interviews, teachers' salaries in elementary schools require change, and we are working hard with the treasury, just as we dealt with the salary of secondary teachers..." Acknowledging the need for a revolution in principals' salaries, he added, "There is still more to fix and to improve, without a doubt."
