Chairman Hamad Amar of the Knesset Lobby for the War against Road Accidents said on Tuesday that he will submit a number of bills today concerning the safety of electric bicycle riders and the regulation of the field - especially in the area of enforcement that is still lacking - as well as the increased punishment against those who dare to drive while intoxicated.
The Yisrael Beytenu Knesset member said, "Electric bicycles have long been a plague to the state. So far [this year], they have taken the lives of 16 young people, twice as much as in 2017!"
