In a post on Twitter, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu Party Avigdor Liberman slammed Abbas speech at the UN saying:
"The Mahmoud Abbas speech was a joke. It was a stock count of all insults and disappointments since the day he was born. Instead of replying to the offer from Israel and the United States, all that interests Mahmoud Abbas is to close accounts and to bring the area to the conflict. We stand firmly against any attempt to harm our citizens' lives and charge the price from the responsible.
