A spokesperson for the Police Foreign press unit said that Police have completed security preparations for the Jewish festival of Succot beginning this evening and continuing for a week.
"Police units, border police, special patrol units will carry out security patrols in public areas with an emphasis in Jerusalem's Old City & Western Wall area where thousands of people are expected to visit throughout this week, including the unique gathering at the Western Wall for the high priest prayers/ blessings later this week.
Police units will respond to any incidents if they occur & police information lines are open for the public to make contact if necessary."
