Germany's defense minister, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Germany could not rule out a long-term deployment of German forces in the Middle East.
The minister said this during a visit to an air force base in Jordan, where 300 German soldiers are taking part in a coalition led by the United States against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
