In a joint action by the police and the Ministry of Health against the production, distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages that endanger public safety, 1,760 bottles of counterfeit and poisonous alcohol were confiscated.
As part of operations carried out this week in Tel Aviv and Bat-Yam, searches were conducted in 19 businesses, including 16 snack dealers and three warehouses. Seven business owners were detained for interrogation and released on bail.
