At the end of a long night of negotiations between the social organizations operating the daycare centers and the Deputy Finance Minister Itzik Cohen, the head of the Budget Division Shaul Meridor, the director of the Employment Ministry Motti Elisha, and with the blessing of Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Yisrael Katz, the heads of the organizations announced the end of the strike in the daycare centers.
It was agreed that daycare staff and caregivers would receive a holiday grant of 3,000 shekels and that a government committee would be set up to examine the issue of employment standards.
