Haaretz reports that the Israeli government and Jerusalem Municipality are planning to invest NIS 2 billion in East Jerusalem's education system over the next five years.
The plan calls for investments in new facilities, more Hebrew classes, and an increase in funding for after-school programs.
The five-year plan also plans to encourage schools that operate according to the Palestinian Authorities curriculum to switch over to teaching Israels curriculum.
