The Ministry of Finance, Keren Kaymet Leyisrael-Jewish National Fund, the National Center for the Development of the Holy Places and the Ministry of Religious Services have approved the process for establishing a new route to up to the area marking the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Member of Knesset Dan Seida (Shas) welcomed the move, saying that "this is an historic step that will provide relief, both in terms of accessibility and in terms of the significant easing of all infrastructure problems."
